You want to write, and I want to help
NaNoWriMo is right around the corner. Maybe you've got a writing project you want to return to after months or years away, and you need structure and accountability to finish the job. Maybe you're full of ideas about what you want to write, and you're not sure how or where to start.
After over a decade of coaching people to write, pitch, and publish essays and opeds, and writing four books in five years, here's what I've learned: Genius doesn't write books, and inspiration doesn't either. What writes books is a writing practice that works for you. What writes books is the ability to open your draft over and over again and do the work. It's what my grandmother called sitzfleisch, or, the stamina to sit until the job is done.
In 2025 I'm launching Sitzfleisch Writing Services, providing coaching, mentoring, editing, and accountability for people who want to write—whether that’s books, short stories, opeds, or anything else. And for NaNoWriMo 2024, I'm running a special preview package. In exchange for some feedback about what works and what doesn't, you'll get a discount on all three tiers of coaching services.
Tier 1: Weekly virtual writing sessions with other members and private goal-setting call with me
Tier 2: Weekly writing sessions, a private goal-setting call, and a private end of month check-in to troubleshoot and keep your momentum going
Tier 3: Weekly writing sessions, a goal-setting call, two private check-ins, and edits on up to 5000 words
