Hello, good readers!
I hope you’re well, wherever in the world you are. I’m home in Sydney, drinking copious copies quantities of coffee (there’s a reason my characters are all entirely caffeine-dependent), and spending time in some of the places that appear in my books. Today I walked past Radio Cairo, a cafe that appears in Pas de Don’t, and the other day I found myself at Freshwater Beach, which appears in Pointe of Pride, and I feel so lucky to be able to write books set in this gorgeous place. Pointe of Pride takes the reader back to Sydney in the heat of summer—it’s so sweaty here today, you guys—which means lot of beaches, lots of walking around barefoot, and quite a few iced coffees (Australian style).
Speaking of Pointe of Pride, my publisher is running a huge deal right now: 50% off your entire order, until Jan. 1. So if you buy a few copies of Pas de Don’t for your friends this holiday season, and pre-order Pointe of Pride for yourself, you’ll save a ton of money. It’s a rare deal, and a big discount, and I know I’m biased but I think the books are pretty good! Use the code COZYVIBES to claim your discount.
It’s the season for best-of lists, and I’m really proud that the podcast I featured in quite a lot, The Turning: Room of Mirrors, was named one of the ten best podcasts of the year by the New York Times. If you haven’t listened to Erika Lantz’s examination of George Balanchine’s legacy, and how it shaped her experience of ballet and the experience of so many other dancers (including several who danced for him at New York City Ballet), now is the time. It’s unsparing, but thoughtful and riveting listening.
Finally, I’m excited to share with you a sneak peek of the swag you’ll get if you pre-order a signed copy of Pointe of Pride from Iowa’s own HEA Book Boutique. I won’t be traveling much to promote this book, so HEABB is the only place I can guarantee you’ll get a signed copy. They ship nationwide, and your copy will come with these cute Pointe of Pride stickers, which I’m absolutely in love with!
Pre-order your signed copy and secure your sticky swag here.
That’s it from me. Thanks, as always, for reading.
Chloe.
